EASTERN MICHIGAN DISTRICT DEMOGRAPHICS
The Eastern Michigan District covers 13 counties with a population that exceeds 6 million people representing one of the most diverse ethnic/geographic areas in the United States. Recent demographic research reveals that over 60% of the district’s population has no identifiable church connection evidenced by their lack of church attendance. Therefore it is safe to assume that there are over three and a half million people residing within the borders of our district who do not have a church family with which to worship.

The worldwide spread of the Gospel is historically connected to the establishment of new churches. God has once again assembled people from all over the world in one geographic area in preparation for another great wave of evangelism. The Eastern Michigan District’s goal is to engage and prepare God’s people to fulfill the Great Commission in our geographic area of responsibility through the establishment of new congregations.

Strong new churches begin with God-called leaders responding to the heart of the Great Commission. The goal is to encourage spiritual leaders to enter the ministry of church planting by offering a strong system of training, assessment, coaching and encouragement.
